The unofficial MS2K OS 1.07 update consists of 33 Sysex messages that you must send to the MS2000 in the numbered order via MIDI.
I would recommend performing a Sysex dump of your current patch data before performing the update. Also try transmitting the dump back to your MS2000(r) to verify your MIDI connection is able to cope with this amount of Sysex traffic. Do test that first, or you could be left with a dead MS2000 !
This procedure consists of sending each of the numbered syx files, OS01.syx thru' OS33.syx. You should leave a suitable pause between sending each file, of say 10 seconds. Also follow the visual cues described.
Turn on the MS2K whilst holding down the "Write" and "Type" (in the Arp section) buttons. This prepares the MS2K to receive the OS update. The LCD screen now reads :
IPL s.p.u [ ] ................Send the file OS01.syx. The first 4 patch knobs light and the LCD screen reads
IPL s.p.u [SYS ] ................
Now send the rest of the syx files and watch as the LEDs in the Virtual Patch come on to acknowledge receipt of each message. Each message received lights an additional LED. When 8 messages have been received the LCD updates and shows an additional '>' symbol, the cycle of lighting the Virtual LED's then starts again from EG1.

If all the Virtual Patch LEDs are now off the update is complete. Turn the MS2K off and back on again.
To verify your new OS version is 1.07 use the following procedure :
Ensure your MS2K is powered down. Hold down the On/Off button for the Mod Sequencer and the patch selection button "5" ... and power your MS2K up - still holding down those two buttons ! On the LCD screen you will see the version number reported. If you have version "1.07", this will be reported as "07".
