PCG Tool Release 1.0b - Daz Richards
=========================================================================

This simple tool allows you to browse through the programs in Triton PCG
files, and optionally audition or write individual sounds to the Triton.

To open one or more PCG files use the File\Open menu option or use
the folder button on the toolbar.

Having opened the PCG file(s) the grid display will be populated with the
program details including the program category information.

To find programs containing a particular string select the Program/Find
menu option or use the binocular toolbar button. In the dialog that pops
up, enter your search string and click OK. All program names that match
the string will be highlighted in the grid. The seach is not case
sensitive, and partial matches work too. So a the string 'pia' would
match 'Piano'.

To audition a program you need to specify the Midi port and channel that
your Triton is attached to in the dropdown lists on the toolbar. Having
entered your configuration, tick the 'Midi Active' checkbox. Now you can
select a program in the grid and select the Program/Audition menu option,
or use the 'keyboard zap' toolbar button. The Triton needs to be in Prog
mode to audition programs, and 'Enable Exclusive' must be ticked on Global
page P1 (I send SysEx for the Audition function). Note the audition
function only sends the program to the Triton, it does not play anything
for you :)

When a program is sent to the Triton it is only written into the Triton's
edit buffer, it does *not* overwrite the current program. Although you
can save it if you wish. This is a convenient way of picking out programs
from PCGs and loading them onto your Triton.

If you want to write a program into the Triton's memory use the Progam\Write
menu option. Personally I recommend doing the write on the Triton itself,
so you can see what you are overwriting !

You can sort the programs by clicking on the column header of the grid.

Shortcut Keys :
Ctrl-A Audition Program (Enter/Carriage Return works too !)
Ctrl-O Open PCG
Ctrl-F Find Program
Ctrl-W Write Program into Triton memory

You can also double click a program to audition it !

PCG Tool is free to all Triton users. Enjoy :)
